Some of you may recall back in October when we shot the Crown and Glory AW12 lookbook. At the time, the promise of pastels and butterflies was no more than a dizzy daydream, however yesterday all of our pretty SS13 wishes came true as we shot the new lookbook, amongst mountains of tulle, half empty mugs of coffee and runaway mini eggs.
Sophie, the glitter queen and mastermind behind Crown and Glory, welcomed the ever-fabulous Chloe Lee and I into her Liskeard home and was hugely hospitable. I was a little overwhelmed when we got to see the Crown and Glory workshop, the place where all my headwear dreams come true! I've got a little tour in photos alongside a Q&A with Sophie in the works, so keep your eyes peeled for that one. We spent Monday night sat in there, Chloe and I painting our nails whilst Sophie worked her magic and whipped up a pile of sugary samples. There are certainly worse ways to spend an evening!
Yesterday we got down to business
to defeat the huns and shot the SS13 lookbook. There aren't enough words to describe how downright perfect it was. I wore a selection of pretty dresses from Sugarhill Boutique (we're talking floaty fabrics with delicate milkshake, hot air balloon and flamingo prints - I want them all) and Oh My Love, played in a nest of tulle and got to eat plenty of sweets. Sophie's cat, Lola, even helped out and did a spot of modeling with me!
I love what I've seen of the photos so far, and I hope you'll all love the final lookbook as much as we enjoyed making it.
