Yesterday was spent in the company of two of my favourite creatives; Paige and Chloe. Whilst this could have just been a plain good excuse to natter away, drink endless cups of tea and watch Thumbelina (which - no question - it was), the purpose was to shoot a little photo series for a magazine Paige is working on for her final project at university, Buttercup.
I've always been in awe of Paige's aesthetic - hence why I trusted her with the task of illustrating my blog header - so to spend an afternoon completely wrapped up in her world, wearing a dress she'd designed and made herself, building dens, blowing bubbles and playing with Sky Dancers, was a treat in itself. The sketchbook she's put together for the magazine looks incredible, and I honestly can't wait to see the end result. We're talking gorgeous illustrations, beautifully nostalgic features, paper dolls and poetry. So much love and planning has gone into the project, and I know I can't wait to get my hands on a copy!
Getting creative and shooting with friends has also got me all hyped up for a certain S/S lookbook shoot next week! I'll give you two clues - pastels, and pretty headgear. Watch this space!

I love these photos! The 'den' you've made is so cute! I used to make that kind of thing all the time out of bed sheets when I was little....I am actually contemplaiting doing it on my next lie-in day! It would be so perfect for having friends round and watching films! Awwwww or on Valentines!?
ReplyDeleteI especially love the photo of you blowing bubbles....really cute :)
