SKIRT FROM LOVE | JUMPER FROM MARY JANE FASHION*
HEADBAND FROM TOPSHOP | HALF WIG FROM ANNABELLE'S WIGS*
What a busy few days it's been! On Monday we moved back up to Bath for the spring term of university, and it's been so nice to get all of our new bits and pieces unpacked. I've given our bedroom a complete overhaul, and I'm slowly going to work my way through the rest of the rooms, tackling different areas like my desk, the mantlepiece, and so on and so forth. One of my new years resolutions is to take more pride in our home, and this has been a great way to get started. I've included a few photos below so you can have a nosy.
On Tuesday evening I headed up to London to for the Company Blogging Forum - the photos are here, I'm grinning away as usual - and I had the best time. I met so many inspiring new bloggers, and I got to chat to Victoria White (Company Editor and general wonder woman), Sophie Qureshi (Beauty Director) and Alexxsia Elizabeth ( Fashion Writer and Stylist). I first met them all last year when I was part of the Company Casting Call competition, so it was great to see them again. I was also delighted to meet two bloggers who I adore, Carrie of WishWishWish and Gem of Gem Fatale. I came out on such a high!
Yesterday I decided to duck into the shops on my way back from the station. I'd been eying up this tapestry dress from River Island after seeing Amy of Dolls are United rocking it in her Christmas photos, however when I saw it in store it wasn't quite what I'd hoped. The fabric was a lot lighter than other tapestry piece I've come across, and it just wasn't for me.
After unsuccessfully exploring my other high street favourites, I ended up at the Topshop sale. I hadn't been particularly impressed when I'd checked it out first time around, however this time I found this skirt by Love reduced from £40 to £18. I already own in it in two colours (oxblood and navy) and I love the shape and the way it moves, so I treated myself to this pinky shade in hopes it'll last me through spring and into summer. I also found this headband reduced from £14 to £1.50. I've already worn it twice so I'm feeling rather pleased with myself.
My January blues are slowly melting away. I've got some exciting projects lined up for 2013, so things are on the up!

Lovely post, can't wait to see what you have going on in the next few months :)

ReplyDeletelove it Megan! Ok, Ill be honest here, I like your hair without the wig so much more! It looks more boho and whimsy. Could you wear it natural and straight in a look soon? I want to know how that will look :)
ReplyDeleteHi Dominique,
DeleteMy hair is actually naturally wavy, and I no longer use heat on it so unfortunately I can't show you how it would look straight - sorry! If you want to see my natural, unstyled hair, just look at any of my earlier looks, without the wigs, where my hair is down :) x
Lovely look! :)

Your house is so lovely! I can't wait to get an apartment of my own, I currently share my house with two of my friends and although I love my bedroom I really want to make all the other rooms pretty too, but because we're only renting short term and its not completely my home I can't rely! :( HOPEFULLY 2014/15 I can get my own place and crack on with being and interior decorating superstar!
