SHIRT FROM OASAP* | SKIRT FROM LOVE | SATCHEL FROM BRAND VILLAGE*
COAT FROM H&M | SHOES FROM DR MARTENS*
When it comes to fashion and comfort, I've always been one of those people whose willing to endure a little discomfort if it means an outfit looks just as I want it to. However today was one of those days when I just wanted to be cosy. The unseasonal mild snap has come to an abrupt end, and today has felt very chilly indeed. January has returned with a vengeance.
This is my favourite lazy day top. I've had it since last summer and have got a lot of wear out of it. It goes with almost everything and adds an easy-chic edge to otherwise plain outfits. I bought the skirt on sale in Topshop in early autumn, and it's one of those pieces I find myself throwing on time and time again when I'm running late for seminars. My satchel from Brand Village has become a firm favourite and my go to day-to-day bag. The necklace was a Christmas present from my parents a couple of years ago and my sturdy, classic Dr Martens are the kind of shoes that are so lovely you can't help but smile to yourself as you lace them up.
This afternoon I met up with a couple of friends in town for tea, cake and an overdue catch up. Whilst we were there it was all too tempting to pop into the shops. That tapestry dress I mentioned in my last post? I actually tried it on and the fit is gorgeous, so I may have treated myself! I also bought a few other little bits (for my wardrobe and for the flat) that I'll no doubt be sharing in good time.
I'm up early tomorrow and London bound for a photo shoot. It's nice to be getting back into the swing of things!

I have a maxi skirt just like this but in black but I've barely worn it! You've now inspired me to try and incorporate it into more of my outfits and get my monies worth out of it! I'm dying to see the new house bits you've bought.....I have a slight obsession with home wear but can't buy that much as I'm only renting short term at the minute! :(

I love the stripy top, it looks great on you. Your hair is such a beautiful colour and looks in great condition. What do you use shampoo/conditioner wise to make it look so good?
