Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone's celebrations went according to plan. Our party was a resounding success, and pretty much everyone slept in until lunchtime! Once we were all up and dressed we drove over to a local beach with some family friends. We built a fire, roasted chestnuts, had a barbecue and wrote our hopes and wishes for 2013 onto a lantern that we launched into the sky.
I wore this new dress from Dahlia. It was reduced from around £60 to £30, and since my size was the last left in stock I couldn't resist treating myself! I'm a little late on the bandwagon with tapestry fabrics, but oh well. We've still got a good few cold months ahead of us, so I'll have plenty of opportunities to wear it. I teamed it with a contrast blouse from Yumi (you can't tell from these photos, but it has super cute mismatched buttons), my beautiful Dr Martens and a sweet vintage brooch.
How have you spent your first day of 2013?
