HEADBAND FROM TOPSHOP | LOCKET FROM RIVER ISLAND | TIGHTS FROM NEXT*
The snow is melting, and I'm not quite sure if I'm ready to say goodbye. It's been a complete pain. We haven't been able to venture further than the shop at the end of our road, we've worked our way through two tubs of hot chocolate powder and we're starting to get bored of being stuck inside, yet it's still so sad to see the snow getting thin and patchy. This icy, slushy limbo is just a bit grim.
Seeing as it's been yet another day stuck inside, I dressed for comfort. In my world, that translates as a simple skater dress, wooly jumper, tights and lace up shoes. I wasn't feeling overly inspired (I'm a bit under the weather at the moment), but I was really pleased with the overall combination of nudes, creams and rich reds. It happened by accident, but I think it's one of my favourite winter palettes.
To battle the lingering January blues, I've been focusing on the fact that spring is drawing ever nearer. I honestly can't wait until the weather's a little warmer and the flowers start to come out. I'm more into my photography than I have been in months and I think spring is such a photogenic season. I'm sure it'll get my creative juices flowing!
