BLUE BLOOD DRESS, CANDY CANE DRESS AND LITTLE MISS TWEED CAPE
LAUNCHING ON SKETCHSTREET WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 5TH
This post has been a long time coming! I've been talking with SketchStreet since late summer when we began work on the Blogger Design Project. Along with three other bloggers I designed five pieces, that were put to a public vote in October. Three of my designs made it into the final five, and over the past couple of months or so they've been turned into real garments. The collection launches tomorrow, with sales opening up to the general public!
So, who feels brave enough to wear one of my designs? My personal favourite is the Blue Blood dress, which is a really flattering midi length with plenty of pretty lace and stud detailing. However I'm also so pleased with the Candy Cane dress' retro collar and the Little Miss Tweed cape's snug hood. I wanted the collection to feel young and fun, with a whimsical retro charm.
Obviously I'm no designer, but that's not to say it hasn't been a wonderful experience. After all, what fashion-loving girl wouldn't want to see her own designs become a reality? I wish I could do it all over again!
