STUDDED JUMPER FROM MARY JANE FASHION* | PETTICOAT SKIRT FROM AMERICAN APPAREL
Three days until Christmas! I still have no idea what I'm going to wear on Christmas day, it's something I always end up putting so much thought into, and yet I've never had a Christmas outfit that I've looked back on fondly. Maybe this will be the year! I feel like I've come a long way with my style over the past twelve months, and the dresses I'm choosing between are all lovely (in my humble opinion anyway!).
Today I reverted back to my summer style, fondant colours and cutesy shapes. Part of me is already thinking ahead to spring, so when I saw this mint green backpack on Romwe I couldn't resist adding it to my basket. It's lovely to use all year round but I'm convinced it will come into it's own come spring/summer. Whilst I was at it I also ordered these fun heart patch tights - a sweet addition to my party season wardrobe.
I've also been taking this studded jumper from Mary Jane Fashion for a spin today. Living in the UK with our bipolar weather, you can never own too much knitwear! Since my style can sometimes be a little too sugar sweet and frothy, I try to add a little edge from time to time with stud details and other such embellishments (in small doses!). I'm especially grateful for easy-to-wear, 'throw it on over anything' pieces like this. No matter how much you enjoy orchestrating outfits, we all get lazy sometimes.

I think you're doing a great job with your style. Even though it's not a sugar free one you know the perfect amount of edgy that must be add. I love it.

ReplyDeleteLOVELY!
ReplyDeleteHaving red hair myself I really wonder that yours doesn't seem to fade :D Are you using special shampoo and conditioner? And in which intervalls are you dying your hair?
ReplyDeleteI don't use any special products, however I've started refreshing it with semi-permanent dye every 4-6 weeks to keep the colour fresh, and I only wash it every other day to stop it rinsing out too quickly. I've also been dying it red for over five years so the lengths are well and truly stained and take longer to fade :)
DeleteThat's kind of amazing: I look horrible after three weeks and need to redye at least once a month. I also wash my hair every other day. Maybe it's the saturation and the length of your hair which make the colour look so good. Which product are you using to dye your hair?
DeleteMy permanent dye is Garnier Olia (I think the shade is 'Spice Red') and my semi-permanent is Live Colour Ultra Brights in 'Pillar Box Red' :)
DeleteGarnier Olia ist just hitting the market here. I was curious to try it out, but I read ambiguous reviews. But now I'm willing to give it a shot :D
DeleteAdorable look :) x

ReplyDeleteSo pretty Megan! That skirt is truly perfect and the tights are adorable!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty outfit. I do the same as far as adding little details that make the outfit tougher somehow, and studds are perfect for that. The tights are a dream.
