A summer in space.

Shirt - River Island
Galaxy Skirt - Romwe
Boater - Next
Wedges - New Look

I've been so excited about getting this galaxy skirt, so it only seemed right that I started styling it a manner that I could wear everyday. I really love this outfit, it's so wearable and something I can see myself wearing around the city when it warms up a bit (we have the sun right now, but heat? Not really). However, it sufficed yesterday afternoon as my beach and baking uniform! I made the most amazing eggless chocolate cake; it was so dense and ended up somewhere between brownie and cake. I might have to post the recipe at some point, it was so fudgy and so good.

This is my last look until I go to London for my casting... Until then I will try and post a dolly make-up tutorial, however we'll see how much time I scrape together.

Oh, and I finished The Hunger Games! It did reek of teen fiction, but in the best possible sense. I could hardly put it down! I can't wait to see the film at some point over the next few weeks. I've had to ask Grant to hide Catching Fire from me until the train journey to London, otherwise I know I will get nothing done this week.

Find me on Facebook.

  1. I love this skirt, it's nice that it's different form the usual blue/purple galaxy print. Good luck with your casting x

    1. I love the colours :) I wasn't a huge fan of galaxy print before this skirt, and I think the usual galaxy colours may be why.

      Thank you! x

  2. glad to read that you think The Hunger Games is great, i heard a lot of people saying it was bad and i was quite disappointed, now i'm gonna go watch it anyway :) also i really love how you matched the skirt to some casual t-shirt, and the hat really makes the whole outfit perfect for summer ! Have a great day Megan <3

    1. Admittedly it isn't the best story telling and some elements (like the love triangle...) do scream angsty teen fiction, but overall it was a page turner and the tension was great. A good bit of light reading between uni assignments :)

      Thank you, Tiphaine! x

    1. I would love a galaxy dress, I'm so jealous!

Personally I think they look best paired down with neutral colours, or you could pick an accent colour from the print and accessorize with that :D
