A splash of Tiffany blue.

Another look from this weekend. I found this jumper in the corner of a second hand shop earlier this year for about £2, but it got pushed to the back of my wardrobe and I sort of forgot that it existed. Yesterday whilst digging out all of my old knitwear I rediscovered it and decided that it needed a chance to shine.

I just love the colour. I have such a soft spot for pastels, and the baby blue is so dreamy. I decided to keep things nice and simple with a cute peter pan collar shirt and my piped burgundy shorts, both from New Look. The heels are nothing remarkable, just a cute little pair I found in Dorothy Perkins. The horse print scarf is from Yumi, and is great for quirking up understated outfits.

I also thought I'd take a detail shot of my jewelry as it usually goes unnoticed. The necklace was £4 from H&M and the earrings were on sale for £5 from Urban Outfitters. I wear both pieces all of the time since they go with pretty much everything and don't get in the way during day-to-day activities.

So there it is, a cute, casual, somewhat vintage look, worn for a laid back Sunday roast with the family.

Hot chocolate and whisky.

This look is a very typical example of what I've been wearing now that winter is setting in. The cardigan is vintage from Urban Outfitters and has been a godsend, I absolutely adore it and it's so warm! The rest is from the high street, nothing hugely exciting. The scarf is the same as in yesterday's look, except used for it's intended purpose.

Now I'm off for lunch; chunky leek and potato soup with equally chunky bread, followed by a few home made mince pies!

Sashes and sequins.

The Coca-Cola advert is being aired, light switch-ons are popping up everywhere and there are mince pies in the cupboard, so in the spirit of things here is a slightly festive look.

I bought this dress in the Urban Outfitters January sale for £15. It's one of my favourite items of clothing, made of stunning navy blue velvet. I wore it a little over spring, however it's definitely more suited to winter. Whilst trying out combinations for Christmas parties I tried tying it with this sequin scarf that lives neglected on the back of my bedroom door. It's limited edition TopShop, and was a gift for my seventeenth birthday (almost two years ago!).

It's fairly simple, but it's got me in the mood for the upcoming Christmas festivities!

A trip to the lakes.

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of weeks; recently life has been a haze of illness, deadlines and messy nights out. Now that I finally have a moment to myself, here are a few photos from my trip to the Lake District this weekend. My family went up to celebrate my Nan's eightieth birthday and I took my boyfriend so that he could finally meet her. We stayed in a gorgeous converted barn (with Cath Kidston bedding - I was very excited), went for a lovely meal at a local hotel then explored the mountains and lakes. We stopped by at a waterfall where it has become a tradition to take lots of photos, my boyfriend was a little overwhelmed but overall really enjoyed himself.

On the journey I was stopped by a street style photographer at Paddington station. She gave me a poppy to wear for Remembrance day then asked to take some photos of my outfit, seeming to really like my cape. I was too surprised and flattered to ask who she was shooting for, a mistake I am now gravely regretting.

Yesterday marked my boyfriend and I's three and a half year anniversary; perhaps it's a little childish to celebrate the half-years but it made us smile. It's also four weeks today until our holiday to Disneyland Paris for my nineteenth birthday, I can't wait!
